And This Is How Traditions Begin

11/29/2013

Last year, we started off the Christmas season by visiting Home Depot to purchase our Christmas tree.  During the visit, we ended up in a large aisle full of Christmas lights, trimmings and large yard ornaments.  Before I knew it, the boys had loaded a large Rudolph into our shopping cart, that was eventually relocated to our front yard.  It made for a nice picture, which I've included at the bottom of this post.

Today, without really thinking about our visit last year, we ended up back at Home Depot picking out the 2013 tree.  And we ended up in that same aisle.  This time, there were no unexpected guests guiding our sleigh home, but I did spot a couple of reindeer roaming very near where me met our friend last year.

Looking at the short sequence of pictures below, I can't help but wonder if this isn't how traditions begin.  A couple of pictures taken in the same location a couple of years in a row, with a similar theme, and suddenly Christmas doesn't officially start without a visit to aisle 1 at Home Depot.

I'm already looking forward to next year.
