Another Election. Another Victory.

Another election, another landslide.  Oh, how I love to win.

I must admit, this morning’s election was a bit awkward.  For those of you who might not have been paying attention, there was another election yesterday.  Some folks consider it to be a pretty big deal.  The election of the President of the United States.  Barack Obama won.

I thought about putting off today’s election.  I face that temptation once every four years.  Somehow it doesn’t feel right overshadowing the newly elected President.  But I think about it and realize, the truth is, my election does overshadow that one.  No disrespect intended to Mr. Obama.

So I went ahead with it.

Today, Ian was sick and Elliott and Katie were scrambling to get ready for school and work, so we used a less formal voting process.  I would have felt bad making them stop what they were doing to fill in the bubble.  So I filled it in myself.  One of the luxuries of being the incumbent.
