Merry Christmas

Another Christmas is nearly behind us.  Two boys asleep on the couch tells the story of the excitement we've lived this month anticipating the birth of Christ.  It's always a double edged sword. On one hand, I'm relieved the excitement is over and our normal pace of life returns. As normal as that is.  On the other hand, life doesn't get much better than having front row seats to two little boys counting down the days til Santa comes.  I hate to see the auditorium cleared for a new show and the next crowd.

As we roll into the new year, my prayer is the same as it always is this time of year.  That I'll carry a bit of that Christmas spirit into the next year.  That we all will.  I pray we'll remember so many of the good feelings we've experienced during December aren't a result of a particular day on the calendar, but of the little extra patience we've offered one another, the hope and love we shared a little more freely.  The Christmas parties are over for another year, thank God, but we don't have to have a Christmas party to keep the Christmas spirit alive.  I pray we will.

Merry Christmas to all of our family and friends.  We love you all.
