Virginia Can No Longer Be Considered "In The South"

When Katie and I decided to move our family from North Carolina to Virginia, one of the many appealing parts of that move was the fact that we would still have all the climate based benefits of living in the south.  As of today, that benefit package has been canceled.  We are in the midst of our second double-digit snowfall in as many months.  Today, we had more snow in one storm than I saw in 13 years of combined winters in North Carolina.  In fact, this winter would probably rival 75% of the winters I lived through growing up in central Ohio.

It's not all bad though.  It makes for great fun for some of us:

It took some prodding to get Elliott to walk through the "big snow".

He eventually became quite fond of marching through the snow.

Elliott, Santa put a lot of work into delivering this swing set, we're not going to let a little snow keep us from using it.

Heading to the mailbox because, yes, the mail did get delivered today.
